Twin Ports Holiday Meeting, 16 February 2007
The speaker at this year's Twin Ports Holiday Meeting was Wade Lawrence, Director at Glensheen in Duluth. Mr. Lawrence's topic was stained glass in Duluth, emphasizing the work of Anne Weston, a Duluth woman who designed some of Duluth's most beautiful and significant windows in the late 1880s and early 1890s. The presentation included pictures of stained glass in a number of Duluth churches, homes, and public buildings, taken during a survey funded by a National Endowment of the Arts grant.
As usual, dinner was excellent, served in the Kitchi Gammi Club banquet room. Our chapter was well represented, by Alana and John Griffith, Gloria and Jerry Putnam, Sue and Bob Saumur, and Linda and Sheldon Wolfe.
