Safe & Secure by Design - How Target has utilized technology & public/private partnerships to secure their facilities 

How does a Fortune 30 corporation work with internal and external partners in order to provide a safe and secure experience for their guests and team members? In this presentation, Target’s Asset protection Team will outline how they utilize innovative technologies and public/private partnerships in order to accomplish this goal. In particular, the presentation will discuss Target’s Forensic Services Team and the work they have done for law enforcement agencies as part of Target’s law enforcement partnership program. The presenters will also review how internal and external partnerships between Assets Protection and other groups like Store Design, Architecture & Engineering, and local law enforcement help Target secure their facilities. 

The program will be presented by Gregg Patyk and Bryan Strawser of Target. Gregg Patyk is the Senior Manger, Global Assets Protection Team. Gregg leads a team investigators, analysts, and technicians responsible for domestic headquarters and international investigations. He has more than 16 years of experience in security management and investigations. Greg has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University.

Bryan Strawser is the Senior Manager, Innovation for Target Corporation’s Asset Protection Team. Bryan leads a team that is responsible for developing new technologies and creative future strategies for use by Target’s Assets Protection Team around the world. Prior to moving to the Minneapolis headquarters, Bryan lead field based teams in Boston, New Jersey and Cleveland. He has more than fourteen years experience in security management and technology project management. Bryan attended Indiana University and the University of Phoenix.
