Minnesota Ballpark Authority awards American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET) Minnesota Twins Ballpark Contract

Saint Paul, Minnesota – American Engineering Testing, Inc., (AET) of St. Paul was awarded a contract from the Minnesota Ballpark Authority on May 14, 2007 for the new Minnesota Twins Ballpark in Minneapolis.  Services to be provided include a) environmental oversight, testing and monitoring b) special inspections and geotechnical soils testing c) monitoring the excavation and placement of the playing field materials and d) vibration and building performance monitoring of adjacent structures and infrastructure. 

The ballpark site is located in an old industrial and commercial area of downtown Minneapolis with a history of possible environmental concerns.  Any contaminants that might be  present will be cleaned up according to Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) standards.  The Minnesota Ballpark Authority and the Twins are committed to providing a safe and healthy envionment for its players and fans.  Th e new ballpark is scheduled to open in 2010. 

AET is an employee-owned corporation, providing professional services to public and private sector clients since 1971.  AET's 300 engineers, geologists, scientists and certified technicians investigate, analyze, monitor and test to assist owners, developers, municipalities, consultants and contractors with their design, construction and restoration projects.
